Aluminium Nameplates

Technical Specifications –

Exilco offer two grades of aluminium, surface and sub-surface printed.

Surface Printed

• Thickness - 0.5mm and 0.8mm (other thicknesses by special order). Finish - Brushed and bright. (Coloured and special effect by special order).
• Foil - 0.180mm (0.68") is available in bright pre self-adhesive and matt which can have an adhesive added.
• Print Process - Silk screen printed using solvent inks.
• Print Colours - can be matched to samples or from a standard colour matching system.
• Fixing - performance adhesives or fixing holes can be applied.

Due to the nature of this process the print is susceptible to chemical attack and scuffing.

Sub-surface printed

• Thickness - 0.3mm,0.5mm,0.7mm,1mm & 1.5mm (0.08 & 3mm by special order)
• Finish - Matt, satin and bright (gold available by special order)
• Print Process - Silk screen printed onto anodised aluminium plate with an open pores structure (not yet sealed) using aluminium dye. The plate is subsequently sealed (the pores are closed) to produce a printed image within the anodised layer of the plate.
• Print Colours - The colour range consists of 10 base colours from which a full range of colours can be produced. Pantone and specific colour matches cannot be guaranteed.
• Fixing - performance adhesives or fixing holes can be applied as well as cut outs for components and switches.

Due to the nature of the process it offers excellent scuff, weather and chemical resistance.
